Catch us at one of our ticketed secret pop up meals.  Each month we hold a dinner closed to the public at the Lot located at 116 Maitland Rd, Islington, NSW 2296.  It will be on a Saturday evening and tickets will be limited. Owner, Robert Thraves is a bit more than just your backyard BBQ sausage sizzle chef. He loves to cook meat low and slow for hours and hours in his homemade custom built Texas offset smoker. Rob’s wife Randi is a native Texan and has been the driving influence in their BBQ style. They often enjoy holidays to Texas filled with lots of family and the best BBQ joints throughout the state.

Rob’s style of BBQ is Texas with a bit of Aussie touch, you’ll find him cooking meat all night at the perfect temperature with his own unique blend of spices to ensure tender juicy and tasty meat. Meat can be enjoyed on its own, in a sandwich, or even in a taco.

Find our food truck at our permanent location at 116 Maitland Rd, Islington, NSW 2296.  We are open there every Thursday for lunch and on Fridays for lunch and dinner. The last Sunday of the month we open for a special Breakfast Taco Sunday, so get in quick and plan ahead.

Texas Style BBQ is cooked with passion. Cooking meat for up to 15 hours with exactly the right temperature and spices to create a mouth watering experience. Our food ranges from smoked meat to many side dishes both Texan and Australian that compliment a great piece of meat.
